A)CRUZ: NO SUCH THING AS  LONE GUNMAN  IN RADICAL ISLAM

B)MSNBC’S MITCHELL: WAS CHATTANOOGA SHOOTER JUST A SOUTHERN GUN NUT?

The Chattanooga shooter wasn’t a “lone gunman” as President Obama claimed because the shooter, Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, embraced radical Islamic ideology spreading on social media, according to presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz.

“In the wake of this vicious attack on our nation we need to rid ourselves of two dangerous delusions, first and foremost that a ‘lone gunman’ – as President Obama described the shooter – is somehow isolated from the larger threat of radical Islamic terrorism,” he said. “In the modern world, no one acts in isolation.”

“Through social media ISIS, al Qaida, and other groups are infiltrating our nation with impunity while our government will not even admit that radical Islamic terrorism is a problem.”

The second delusion about the Chattanooga, Tenn., attack, Cruz continued, is that it’s somehow isolated from the 2009 shootings on military facilities involving Islamic extremists in Little Rock, Ark., and Ft. Hood, Texas.

“The Obama administration was woefully reluctant to call either an act of radical Islamic terrorism, instead suggesting ‘workplace violence’ as a justification for the killings,” he added.

Likewise, both the White House and the mainstream media were hesitant to discuss Abdulazeez’s ties to radical Islam, which motivated him to attack two military installations on Thursday, killing four U.S. Marines and wounding three others.

“Obama has been widely criticized for his refusal to even use the term ‘Islamic’ when referring to Islamist terror attacks, an illustration of the stifling political correctness that surrounds discussion of Islamic-inspired atrocities,” Paul Joseph Watson reported. “In the aftermath of the shootings, the leftist media, which immediately exploited the Charleston attack to collectively demonize all white Americans, is noticeably shy to discuss Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez’s motivation.”

B)MSNBC’S MITCHELL: WAS CHATTANOOGA SHOOTER JUST A SOUTHERN GUN NUT?

It must be frustrating for the leftist apologists for Islamic terrorism to have to keep pretending it doesn’t exist.

The cold hard facts of the terrorist’s identity forced MSNBC’s poor Andrea Mitchell, for example, to come up with a uniquely creative slant on the Chattanooga mass murderer Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez. In the course of interviewing a young woman named Valerie Levitt who was a high school classmate of the shooter, Mitchell tried to steer her into painting the devout Muslim as someone who was influenced by small-town Southern gun culture – as if that has anything to do with jihad.

After describing Abdulazeez as “devout, obviously” and always talk[ing] about religion

“Were guns a big part of activities—social or other activities?” Mitchell asked Levitt suddenly.

“What?” the confused Levitt responded.

“What about – did he hunt, did he shoot?” Mitchell prodded. “I mean, was that just part of small-town Tennessee activity?”

“Um, he actually wasn’t one of the guys I heard about going hunting,” Abdulazeez’s classmate responded. “He wasn’t really that kind of guy.”
Correct. He wasn’t the kind of guy Andrea Mitchell would love to have implicated in the Chattanooga terrorism – he wasn’t a white, Southern, conservative advocate of the Second Amendment. He was a devout Muslim waging violent jihad, and that doesn’t fit MSNBC’s agenda.
