When Pope reads a Byzantine emperor saying : that teachings of the Prophet Mohammed are evil and inhuman !! and Islam spread by sword !! It is matching with Bush Nazi evil nature who fights Islam and Muslims. After all, the Pope knows well that such saying will never help dialogue . They are wards of war rather than peace.

Pope, Muslims meet in bid to defuse anger

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy - Pope Benedict XVI told Muslim diplomats Monday that "our future" depends on dialogue between Christians and Muslims.

The pontiff was trying to mend relations after his recent remarks about Islam and violence ignited the Vatican's most serious international crisis in decades.

Benedict also quoted his predecessor, John Paul II, who had close relations with the Muslim world, stating the need for "reciprocity in all fields," including religious freedom.

Benedict spoke in French to a roomful of diplomats from 21 countries and the Arab League in his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo near Rome.
